Clinical Example: Simple incomplete syndactyly release incorporating redundant distal web skin

Syndactyly is in some ways not enough surface for the volume. There is not enough skin to cover two fingers. Sometimes syndacylous fingers appear to have excess skin because of a broad distal web. Despite this, after release, there is always too little skin to cover both fingers at the base and reconstruct a normal web without changing the volume of the finger by defatting the fingers. This is an example.
